Mums -to-be no longer need to visit a GP - they can just refer themselves online.

Mums-to-be that have a positive pregnancy test and wish to have their baby under the care of Basildon Hospital Maternity Services can contact the maternity team directly by completing the antenatal self-referral form, without the need to see a GP first. 

A qualified midwife will contact them by telephone within seven days following receipt to discuss the next step.
